Ok, so you've decided to become a vegetarian. Now you're stuck trying to decide what types of vegetarian food are allowable in your new diet. Don't worry. This article is designed to help you  discover some of the various vegetarian foods that is available to you.

 

 

Legumes: Legumes are a type of veggie that is very versatile low in fat. They are also a great source of potassium, iron, folate and magnesium. Common ones peas, beans, lentils, chick peas, fava beans, black eyed peas and soy nuts.

 

Whole Grains: Whole grains are great source of nutritions. They are superiour to refined grains because they are chock full of vitamins, fiber and minerals. Examples of whole grains are, oats, wheat, rice, corn, and bread. 

 

Vegetables & Vegetable Oils: Vegetables are the portion of the plant that you can eat. Most people are familiar with these. Common ones include, celery, peppers, vegetable, broccoli and squash.

 

Nuts and Seeds: Nuts are a very good option for vegetarians. They provide protein, Vitamins A, E, as well as potassiumand fiber.  They do have carbs and oils, so eat in moderation. Examples of nuts include almonds, macadamien nuts, walnuts, and pecans.

 

Fruit: Fruits are great for anyone, they have tons of vitamins and fiber. Examples include, oranges, apples, bananas, pineapple and peaches.

 

Dairy: Dairy is associated with products with a milk base. Common ones include milk, cheese, yogurt, cream and butter.  

 

Eggs: Eggs are a great source of protein. Have some! 

 

Sweets: Eat only small amounts of sweets.
