An effecive vegetarian weight loss diet, includes plenty of low fat, cooked or raw vegetables and fruit. Foods that are low in saturated fat, and high in whole grains, and healthy proteins. This type of vegetarian weight loss will ensure that you lose weight and still have energy to get throughout the day. 

Fruits and vegetables are fantastic staples in a vegetarian weight loss diet because they are filling and low in calories. Fruit and veggies have plenty of fiber which ensures that you feel full and that you are regular, which removes many of the toxins from the body. You also need to choose good carbs. This means that your blood sugar does not surge and you won't have the munchies all of the time.  Good carbs include beans, whole wheat bread and rolls, oatbran, and oatmeal. A good vegetarian weight loss diet will be made up mostly of vegetables, fruits, and nuts and a small amount of beans. Beans have lots of carbs and can thwart your weight loss efforts. This way you minimize refined sugar and get healthy proteins.

As stated earlier a good vegetarian weight loss diet will consist of healthy foods, low in bad carbs, refined sugars and flours. Instead opt for healthy whole grains and nuts.
